Seven SIM cards can be linked to one NIN, Pantami says

 In what will gladden the heart of many Nigerians, the federal government has revealed that Nigerians can link up to seven SIM cards to one National Identification Number on the National Identity Management Commission Mobile App. This was disclosed on Friday, January 8, by the minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, Punch reports . He said: "You will be able to link up to seven SIM numbers to only one. I have already downloaded the app, launched the app, and already linked some of my numbers immediately. This is part of digitalisation."  Nigerian singer, Rema has called out the People's Democratic Party (PDP) over the death of his father Justice Ikubor. Justice Ikubor was said to be a high ranking member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and former General Manager of the state-owned Ethiope Publishing Company before his death. He was found dead in a room at Bins Hotel in Benin City, the state capital in 2008. Nigerian Tribune reported that Idubor checked in with a female friend at about 8:30 p.m on the day he died. The lady reportedly left the hotel premises after spending some hours with the deceased. It was said that when there was no sign of the presence of the PDP chieftain the next morning, the room in which he lodged was forced open by the staff members of the hotel and his lifeless body was found on the bed. Zulum's Convoy (Graphic) IgbereTV reports that 15 operatives died when Boko Haram ambushed the convoy of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, on Friday, September 25. The attacked which happened between Monguno and Baga areas of the state also left many injured including civilians.
